I am not convinced there is any stable state of being called enlightened or saved or holy or awakened, anyway. And, if you were awakened, I assume you would be too awakened to know it, even to have interest in it.
So, seeing the way is always changing, is emptiness, salvation or enlightenment or liberation cannot be found anywhere. The better question than "Are you and awakened being?" is "Are you awake now?" Still, forget all that talk, and just walk.

So, the Way is littered about with fads, and talk about these spiritualized fads. While words like Jesus and silence and Buddha and nonduality, and a myriad other, point to the Truth or a truth, the words easily become fascinations in themselves, and spiritual practices or acts do, likewise, such as when one becomes, rather than doing meditation, a meditator, or one is fascinated with sharing the fascination that he or she is a Christian. My, my! if one is so much something, why a need to proclaim "I am this" and "I am not that"? Simply, remain with Truth, not passing fascinations or even clinging passionately to helps to Truth, regardless of how well they mirror the Truth.
Do not keep making love with a mirror! The Beloved mirrored awaits

I am confidant many persons go through this same passage from reliance on a more apparent sense of the Sacred to a subtle knowing that is neither an emotion, "I feel ... near me," or a thought, "I know ... is close to me.". One might speak of it as a feeling, or Feeling, but not feeling as emotion. Grace becomes so close that one cannot easily speak of It anymore, and one does not need or seek the same verification that the Sacred is close anymore or that there is a Sacred.

Here, right in communion, the path and you, everything fits in a way that does not fit what we have been taught. So, you stand naked. Your clothes simply will not fit. You keep trying to make them fit, they do not. Nothing in your wardrobe fits. So, finally, you just stand naked, for all those clothes did fit, but do not fit. You and the path are together nude, exposed to Grace. You might as well relax, you have already been seen.
So, the Way is paradoxical to us. Yet, the Way Itself is not paradoxical. We naturally move from perception, which is non-paradoxical, to conceptualizing in paradox. Any system of thought that is not paradoxical is not true to a path of subtle Spirit. The way only makes sense at a subtle level, but at the level of mind necessarily does not fit.

Yet, this Intimacy simplifies itself. The more subtle, the more simple; the less subtle, the more complex. Nondual spirtuality is too simple, too direct for most persons. Most persons need complexity, unable to relax with the simple. So, part of this following, this being with Presence, is growing to accept and relax into the simplicity.
Eventually, the Intimacy simplifies so we struggle to relate It in words, feeling our words betray the knowing of It. We may try to relate our experience, and see the other looking oddly back at us, like, "What are you saying?!" Likewise, we learn the wisdom of rarely referring to such at all, unless among others of like devotion and for the common good, not merely to talk about such.
Some intimacies are too intimate to be share lightly, some are not to be shared at all. If we need to share, let Grace illumine that need to us.
